    February 2019 Release Update for Oracle Cloud Platform

    We are pleased to announce new updates and enhancements to our comprehensive portfolio of PaaS solutions. A summary of Oracle Cloud Platform release updates for February 2019 are listed below. See Oracle Cloud Platform Documentation for more details.


    Analytics Cloud

    • A new way to deploy Oracle Analytics Cloud Subscription on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is available. See Create a Service


    API Platform Cloud

    • You can now enclose a search term in quotes to find an exact match on list pages. See Understand the APIs List Page
    • A button has been added to display a list of applications for selection. See Apply Application-Based Routing Policies
    • A button has also been added to display a list of gateways for selection. See Apply Gateway-Based Routing Policies
    • The pages in the interface that list the APIs, plans, applications, services, and service accounts have been redesigned
    • Now actions, methods as well as resources from an Apiary specification can be used for resource-based routing policy
    • If the installed version of your gateway is 18.4.3 or later, there is no need to re-install the gateway for 19.1.3


    Application Performance Monitoring (part of Oracle Management Cloud)

    • You can now record scripted actions using Selenium IDE and save as a .side file and upload it for Synthetic Tests


    Autonomous Data Warehouse


    Blockchain Platform

    • Oracle Blockchain Platform was updated to use Hyperledger Fabric 1.3
    • Java chaincodes are now supported
    • You can now define private data collections on channels
    • Now you can add ACL policies to a channel and then apply them to the channel's resources
    • State-based endorsement policies are used now. They allow the SDK to automatically detect information in the network
    • You can now define key-level endorsement policies
    • For compatibility requirements, you can now create channels with Oracle Blockchain Platform 19.1.1 capabilities
    • REST APIs were added that allow access to instance metrics like transaction counts and CPU, memory, and disk utilization
    • Documentation is added to explain the Oracle Blockchain Platform 19.1.1 to 19.1.3 upgrade. See Upgrade Your Instance


    CASB Cloud

    • Integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has been enhanced
    • Single sign-on through Oracle Identity Cloud Service is now supported in all registered Oracle Fusion Applications
    • Now you can trigger policy alerts based on additional actions on SharePoint and OneDrive files in Office 365 files
    • New troubleshooting topics for SAP SuccessFactors have been added. See Troubleshooting for SuccessFactors
    • Risk Events now shows ASN (autonomous system number) information for IP addresses
    • For CASB Cloud Service – Discovery, warning is provided when expected user count is exceeded
    • For CASB Cloud Service – Discovery, new key security indicators are generally available. See Key Security Indicators Tab


    Configuration and Compliance (part of Oracle Management Cloud)


    Content and Experience Cloud

    • New site governance feature makes it easy to create sites that conform to company policy, control and track sites easily
    • Now you can download site files for easy translation outside of CEC and then import the translated files
    • You can upload custom renditions of your images to suit the channel they’re published to such as mobile, tablet, web, etc.
    • Now you can browse for assets stored in Oracle WebCenter Content. See WebCenter Content and OCE
    • Now you can create and configure a custom connector to a third-party content repository
    • Content contributors can now view content metrics on the Analytics dashboard where they have a Contributor role
    • A new REST API for Content Management is now available. See REST API for Content Management
    • Now you can use Sites Toolkit to create content items for text on site pages and to enable page search for a site
    • You can now use the Starter Site CLI to get started with React development quickly


    Database Cloud

    • The recovery operation for dbaasapi, dbaascli, and bkup_api has changed to return only data & not the configuration files
    • The bkup_api now has a list jobs command. See Retrieve the History of Scheduled Backup Results with the bkup_api Utility
    • Now using the dbaasapi from the command line, you can get a report on the tooling and image versions
    • Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition version 12.6.2 has been certified for use with Database Cloud Service deployments


    Digital Assistant

    • Now you can use the new export feature to create your own reports. See Export Insights Data
    • Support added to show top-level ODA routing analytics and popular skills by invocation. See Evaluate Usage Patterns
    • Now you can see overall trends for skills for a variety of analysis. See Skill Analytics
    • New Data Management tool lets you track your insights data storage consumption. See Data Management
    • Now you can route the user to a specific agent queue in Oracle Service Cloud. See Oracle Service Cloud Routing
    • Interrupt Flow Confidence Threshold helps you determine when to send the user a prompt and message for switch in flows
    • Channels for Slack, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Cortana have been added. See Channels
    • New System.OAuth2ResetTokens enables you to revoke all the logged-in users' refresh & access tokens from a dialog flow
    • For OAuth2AccountLink, you can now use a predefined short URL for the fixed fields, state will be dynamically populated

    Integration Cloud

    New Integration Features

    New Process Features

    • You can now capture form data at multiple points in a process, store it in a DB or file system for archiving or auditing
    • Now you can introduce additional test statements (Else If statements) in If-Then-Else decisions
    • Array filtering feature in structured processes is now available. See Filter Array Data Objects
    • You can now create a Loop decision to iterate over lists or arrays. See Create Loops
    • Guidelines have been added to make decision models easy to develop, maintain, and interpret. See Best Practices
    • You can set the number of days to retain completed analytics before automatic purging (retention of 7 days by default)
    • Here's a reminder to set the number of days to retain completed process instances before they get purged. See Purge


    IT Analytics (part of Oracle Management Cloud)

    • Now you can access the Exadata Overview page from the new Exadata menu in the OMC Navigation pane
    • You can now specify the high and low threshold values in the IT Analytics Settings page. See Configure Capacity Thresholds


    Java Cloud

    • Now you can provision an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Load Balancer for your service instance on OCI
    • You can now connect a service instance to an Autonomous Transaction Processing or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database
    • Now using the REST API or CLI, you can download a backup, decrypt it, and extract its contents
    • Scheduled backups are now disabled automatically after seven errors of any type
    • Notification email is now optional for automatic backup disabling
    • For Software Edition, the option Enterprise Edition with Coherence has been renamed to High Performance Edition in the Oracle Java Cloud Service instance creation wizard


    Log Analytics (part of Oracle Management Cloud)

    • As an administrator, now you can have finer control on the access provided to each user of Oracle Log Analytics
    • Now you can select the data to purge by specifying a time ranges. See Purge Log Data
    • You can now export the log parsers and user-defined log sources to an XML file using the Oracle Log Analytics
    • Now you can mask the log data using the hash mask to generate a unique hash for each found value of the masked data


    Management Cloud

    • Enhancements have been made in the Card visualization and Table visualization option in Data Explorer
    • Now last selected entity context is displayed in dashboards if an entity is not selected in the Global Context Entity Selector
    • In the Topology view, Siebel component nodes are now collated into the Siebel server node


    Security Monitoring and Analytics (part of Oracle Management Cloud)


    Self-Service Integration

    • Guided Tours are now available for SSI developers
