    Hi,

What access do you need to edit and add parse rules to parse rule sets. I am able to see the rules but have no add or edit button to make changes.

    Thanks,

    Clare

    Hi Clare,

I suspect you probably have the access but went one click too far.  From the main page (right after you navigate to the 'Manage Parse Rule Sets' FSM task), highlight the row for the Rule Set you want to edit and then click the pencil icon on the top of that table.  Just don't click on the Rule Set Name itself.  If you click on the Rule Set Name hyperlink, it takes you to a page where you can view the Rules within that Set...you just can't edit them.  If you click 'Done' from the page you were in, you should get brought back to the initial table with the edit icon on top.  Does that help?

Assign "Cash Manager" job role to the user accessing the Parse Ruleset task.

Additionally, you can assign "Financial Application Administrator" role also if the above role doesn't work.

I have the Cash Manager job role so I'm assuming it's the Financial Application Administrator role.  How are the edit / add functions presented? An edit button, a pencil, a plus button?

Glad to help.  That little navigation 'feature' has gotten me once or twice before, so it sounded familiar right away.

I figured it must be something I was doing wrong!

Sorry Glen on a similar note.  I'm trying to edit the Bank statement reconciliation matching rules and I can see the edit pencil if I'm on the first screen (so not clicking into it to see all the rules set up) but it's greyed out and doesn't allow me to edit. If I do go into the rule I have no pencil or edit button. Is this a role issue? I would have thought I need Cash Manager for this too.

I think that's by design, it won't let you edit a seeded matching rule.  But if you create a matching rule from scratch (or make a custom copy of one of the seeded rules), then you should be able to edit that new rule.  At least that's the way the page behaves for me.

                Hope that helps,

                Glen
