Unable to Create IMT - Requisitions with Destination Type as Inventory
    Summary:
Unable to Create IMT - Requisitions with Destination Type as Inventory - Errors out with Source Organization cannot be determined
    Content:

    Hello All,

We have been trying to create IMT Requisitions with Destination type as Inventory and are facing the following error - "The source organization for the given destination type cannot be determined. Contact your Supply Chain Operations Manager (POR-2010790)".

We have followed multiple documents included in support Troubleshooting Internal Requisition Setup – Planned Item (Doc ID 2384272.1)., Setups and End to End Flow For Internal Requisitions-Transfer Orders Flow (Doc ID 2359512.1).

We do have the sourcing rules, assignment sets and ATP Rules,  costing and inventory organizations assigned to locations,  the attached document (IMT- Requisition Setups)would show all the screenshots with setups if you encountered this issue before could you please let us know if we are missing any setups/steps that are causing this error?

    Thanks,

    Shravan

Our support deals with similar issues on a relatively frequent basis. I would ask that you log an SR and have them triage this. They will reach out to the appropriate teams for guidance, be it the Planning team or ourselves.

      Thanks

Thanks, Ashok, I do have an SR open since the last 2 weeks - SR 3-20346143921: Unable to create Requisition with Destination Type Inventory - IMT Requisitions.

Hoping to find a resolution soon.

      Hi Shravan,

      Greetings of the day!

I have attached some observations and highlighted the changes to be done in your setup.

Kindly try again to do the full cycle again with these changes. Let me know if it works or not? I have tried IMT for non-planned items.

      Reg,

      Sanket S.

      Hello Sanket,

Appreciate your response and thank you for taking the time to look through this issue, I made the changes you suggested and unfortunately it still shows the same error :(

We are using planned items, unable to figure out why the source organization is not picking up based on the Sourcing Rules.

      Thank you,

      Shravan

      I concur.

      Sanket

That was very helpful of you doing the triage.

      Shravan

I will take a look at that SR and revert when I have something. This does look a bit familiar. I believe it is pending review with the Planning team, but I need to check. I will revert if I find something.

I am unable to locate this SR on the Support portal. Can you review if this SR: SR 3-20346143921 is currently under review and whether a forum post or bug been logged against the appropriate teams?

      Thanks

      Ashok

Hi Ashok - the SR is being worked from US timezone. No forum and Bug has been logged as of now.

      Hello ,

I am also seeing same error when creating internal requisition for source type as Inventory "The source organization for the given destination type cannot be determined. Contact your Supply Chain Operations Manager (POR-2010790)". source organization is not picking up from sourcing rule

Please let us know what is missing here

If it is in 19B release you need to raise an SR and request for a patch, apparently this is a bug and solution is available from 19D release, however, the fix can be backported to 19C or 19B.

    • Rashmi chinta

Thank you Shravan for the quick response! Currently we are working on 19B release, I will log an SR.

      Thanks,

      Rashmi

Hello - We got the patch on our instance and able to create Internal Requisitions from the UI.

However, I am also looking for a REST/SOAP web service that can be used to 'Create IMT - Requisitions' and it seems like there is a SOAP Service in 19 B -

      https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/procurement/19b/oeswp/business-object-services.html#purchaserequestserviceversion1-d17024e2951

While I am able to create a Requisition with the above service, I am unable to create an Internal Requisition with the same service :

      https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/procurement/19b/oeswp/business-object-services.html#purchaserequestcreaterequisitionlineversion1-d17024e49532

The above requisition line details do not have 'Source Organization' in it. (this is required while creating Internal Requisition)

My question is - Can we create an IMT - Requisition using the Public Webservice - REST/SOAP if we can could you please provide me with a sample Payload that can be used?

      Shravan Kumar

Not yet. We don't support IMT flows through Web Services or REST Services at this time. This is on our list of backlog items at least for REST Services. I don't have specific timelines to share. This is on our product roadmap for the future.

    • Shravan Kumar Chelika

      Thank you, Ashok...

You are right, the REST Service doesn't seem to work either - errors out with "Attribute SourceOrganizationId in view object PurchaseRequisitionHeaderEO_PurchaseRequisitionLine_PurchaseRequisitionHeaderVOToPurchaseRequisitionLineVO_PurchaseRequisitionLineVO cannot be set"

Will try out to see if this can be done via FBDI and OIC.

    • Ashok

      Shravan

FBDI does not support it either. Now if you are looking to create transfer orders, there is a REST service available from the corresponding SCM Team. You could explore that. But if it is requisitions you want, then yes that is not yet supported.

Thank you, Ashok for the detailed information. Appreciate your valuable response.
