    Title:
KScope 2019 Early Bird Registration Ends Soon
    Summary:
    Best EPM User Conference
    Content:

The KScope 2019 User Conference Early Bird Registration fee deadline is 31-Mar-2019.  I can't recommend this conference highly enough.  It is the premier Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) user conference of the year.

There are tons of sessions to learn about Oracle EPM products led by fellow customers, implementation partners, and a few by your friendly Oracle Product Managers and Developers.  You can even earn CPE credits!

Here are some of the benefits (Convince your Manager to let you go - includes sample "Justification" letters for approval):

    • 300+ technical sessions on Oracle and Oracle-related solutions
    • Three days of hands-on training—at no additional charge
    • All-day symposiums—at no additional charge
    • Non-stop learning! Unique educational formats, hands-on experience with the latest software, lunch-and-learn sessions with Oracle ACEs, and regular social events to meet and talk with industry experts and other participants
    • Topics to help you refresh your foundation, learn something new, advance your current skills, and stay prepared for the future
    • Flexible conference options so that you can attend live sessions and training while also keeping an eye on work requests

The Oracle EPM/Hyperion community is a close-knit one.  Share ideas, learn new things, and discuss the best ways to get the most out of your Oracle EPM and BI applications and tools.

For those that have been to KScope in the past, please comment on your experiences and help convince others new to the community to join us in Seattle this year.

    Don't miss out.  Register today.

Everyone should come to Kscope at least once. This is a undeniable fact!

I'm obviously biased as the Essbase track lead this year - but we've got both some really interesting new school OAC presentations as well as some truly old school ones (we have an entire session on Essbase load rules!) The Planning track is chock full of case studies, detailed development tips, everything from groovy to Hybrid Essbase in EPBCS (yes, it's coming!).

For an extra special bonus I'm dragging together a specialist group to do a block creation deep dive (a quick sneak peak of some jokes - 'Q: what is 1+1 in essbase? A: #missing' - comedy gold right there) where we actually, once and for all, solve all your block creation needs.

The corridor track (aka: the randomly meeting people in the corridors that you've only ever known online) is my favourite - coming from Australia it's the only time I get to see some people, and those contacts are invaluable.

Finally you also get the chance to ask Mark Rinaldi and the other product dev guys those really difficult questions in person. Which is honestly worth the price of admission. *grin*

So, come to Kscope. You'll learn more in a week than normally possible in a year. I know I did.

Yes, "What is 1+1 in Essbase.... #Missing" is comedy gold.  Case study:  Client/New Consultant:  "I mean the calc clearly says A + B = C, why isn't C showing the result?"  Consultant:  "Lock and Send a zero to C and see what happens after re-running the calc."  ?!?

Regarding asking "Mark Rinaldi and the other product guys those really difficult questions in person," the bar is a great place for that... just saying.  :-)
