    Title:
    DIPC Connection to remote informix
    Summary:
In the oracle open world presentation, oracle states that DIPC can connect to Informix. But as per the documentations, informix is not yet supported. Is there any other way that i am missing.

Also EDQ still does not support informix as a source. how can we perform EDQ use cases on informix source.

    Version:
    DIPC 18.4.3

The Informix connection isn't certified on DIPC.  In DIPC classic, you have access to the ODI studio, hence you will be able to connect to Informix from there.  However, Oracle has stopped offering DIPC classic to new customers.  in current DIPC running on OCI, you don't have access to the host any more, hence, you have no access to the ODI Studio.  Thus you loose that capability.

If Informix is the source data and you are looking for the ODI use case, I would suggest you try ODICS instead of DIPC.

You are correct, EDQ has never supported Informix.  The only way to use data from Informix is to have some ETL tool to get the data into a Database that EDQ supports, such as Oracle Database.

      Thanks,
