Error Creating Connection for Oracle DBCS
    Content:

    Hi All,

Can you please guide me how to create a connection for Oracle Database Connection with DBCS.

PFA Screenshot of the details entered while creating connecting, but it is giving the error as below :

The connection test failed. Check your connection and use agent from agent group.

As the message suggested, you need to use Connectivity Agent to connect to DBCS. It must be installed either on DBCS host or any other host which has connectivity to DBCS host.

The error is misleading for sure,  Any pointers ?

      Hi Sridhar,

Apart of installing Agent in DBCS, you also need to add agent group in the configuration and the value you have put for SID should be actually against "Service Name"

      Regards,

      Kamal
