How to migrate integrations from One OIC instance to another including database packages
    Content:

We have built around few custom integrations , we would like to migrate to another instance of Orace Integration Cloud. we are using database connector with stored DB packages.   Any idea how to migrate the integration along with database packages.  Thanks in advance.

    Thanks

By DB packages, do you mean wrapper packages generated by OIC while using Stored Procedures? If yes, then those are automatically recreated during activation time if they don't exist on target database.

      Hello Hemanth,

thanks for the update.  Here is the scenario.

      1. Created an integration  with Rest API and its active now .
      2. on-prim DB connects to OIC through on-prim agent.
      3. For Integration using DB connector.
      4. on the on-prim DB, created DB packages  for this integration
      5. Now we need to migrate this integration to another OIC instance which is going to use the connection from another on-prim DB

As per your update, you mean while migrating this integration  to another  OIC instance,

      1. First migrate all DB objects from on-prim source DB to target DB
      2. Migrate all integration related flows next and activate this on the target instance.

      Hi,

thanks for the update.  Here is the scenario.

As per your update, you mean while migrating this integration  to another  OIC instance,

      1. If I remember correctly , ICS_DBA objects will be created while generating or activating the integration , correct me if I am wrong
      2. First migrate all DB objects from on-prim source DB to target DB
      3. Migrate all integration related flows next and activate this on the target instance.

      Thanks

OIC migration and DB migration are mutually exclusive. You can leverage OIC REST APIs to export and import flows to other instance. If the new OIC instance is associated with different DB, it is customers' responsibility to make sure DB has right objects. So DB migration needs to be taken care before OIC migration happens.

Packages created by OIC Database Adapter like Wrapper packages would get created automatically again when you activate integration on another OIC instance connecting to a different database instance. Migration of any other custom DB object that was not created by OIC is user's responsibility.

      Thanks.
