    Unable to find Requisition BU's in Content Zone security
    Summary:
    Created a catalog content zone, in security region unable to find all requisition BU's.

    For self service procurement if trying to crate a new requisition through "Shop by Category" getting items only for one particular BU. Analysis done and found issue is with content zone. In content zone at security level, Able to see only one requisition BU if i select radio button "Secured by requisition BU is selected". Unable to find all requisition BU's except one.

      Were you expecting to see Ames as a Requisitioning BU value in the list of choices? That BU has a different Procurement BU (Ames) from what I see in the screenshots.

      The list of Requisitioning BU's that you are expected to see when defining the Content Security all have to belong to the same Procurement BU. I I noticed Savage US is both a requisitioning and procurement BU but does that have any other Requisitioning BU's associated with it?

        Hi Ashok,

        Thanks for your quick response. In my production instance it has all Requisition BU's at security level.

      Can you share a screenshot in Production of the Manage Business Unit page where you can confirm Savage US is the service provider for all of these BUs and do the same in the instance where you are not seeing all these BUs?

          Sorry, this is not the page I asked for. From the Manage Business Unit, select Savage US business unit. In the Search Results table, select that row and click Actions >  View Service Clients. In the Production Instance, I expect to see all of the BU's you listed in the screenshot to be listed as clients. Now do the same check on the other instance where you say you are not able to see all BU's in the list of Requisitioning BUs.

            Hi Ashok,

             

            I missed Adding Savage US BU to manage service provider for other BU's. Now i added then and in Content zone Security i can able to see all BU's. But when i search "shop by Category" i cannot able to see none. But same in PROD if i search i can able to see products.

      Hi,

      Current procurement BU for which you are creating content zone if you have service provider relationship defined with other BUs as requisition BU then you will able to see multiple requisition BUs for secure by requisition BU option.

      If no service provider relationship and same BU enabled as Req and Proc BU then,

      • If you need for all Req BUs choose security as  'Available to all requisitioning BUs'
      • If you need for specific BUs, need to create content zone for those specific BUs separately for each requisitioning BU and choose security as 'Secured by requisition BU' > select requisition BU.

        Hi Gopal,

         

        Yes I seleceted "available for all Requisition BU's only", then when search shop by category in Requisition form no values were populating except for Savage US req BU.

      Ok, so we have resolved one problem. This was a setup issue as I suspected. 

      I believe the next issue you brought up is also a set up issue. I also assume you are familiar with setting these up? 

      Have you seen the setup in Manage Catalog Category Hierarchy and compared the setup between Production and Dev instances? I assume you are aware that you have to setup Browsing Categories and assign Item Categories within and then you start to see items based on your Content Zone security. I would start looking there to triage this.

        Yes thanks that issue was resolved.

        Yeh i have done Manage Catalog Category hierarchy and compared as it is same. Also i can see them to Savage US BU only for others i cannot able to see.
