    Title:
    Business Events - HCM Cloud
    Summary:
Are Business Events available for Oracle HCM Cloud?
    Content:

    Hi Everyone,

We have a requirement to integrate Oracle HCM cloud with a Third Party application. In HCM cloud, whenever a New Hire/Existing Hire updates are made the integration has to automatically pass those information along with Hire data to Third Party application. The Third Party application had exposed SOAP services to import data coming from HCM cloud.

The below oracle document states Business events are not available for Fusion HCM cloud:
    https://docs.oracle.com/cloud-machine/latest/intcs_gs/ICSKI/GUID-B8AC4537-C86D-4649-9D64-34C199051396.htm#ICSKI-GUID-B8AC4537-C86D-4649-9D64-34C199051396

If Business events are not available for HCM cloud, then what is the alternative to capture New Hire/Existing Hire updates?

    Regards,

    Karthick.R

      Hi Karthick,

In HCM there is a concept known as atom feed, please check that.

      Thanks,

      Pradvin

Pradvin is right - ATOM feeds are the way to go for your use case.

How to configure HCM Adapter within OIC for ATOM feeds:

      https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/integration-cloud/hcm-adapter/invoke-operation-page.html#GUID-8B811326-EF94-4F56-800E-3290072F74AD

      Information on HCM ATOM feeds:

      Hi,

I tried to use HCM Atom Feed. But I'm unable to select the 'Include Business Object in ATOM feeds' checkbox.
      PFA screenshot for more information.

I've given the Integration user following roles -

      1. Human Capital Management Integration Specialist (PER_ATOM_WORKSPACE_ACCESS_EMPLOYEES_PRIV, PER_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_WORKSTRUCTURES_PRIV)
      2. Application Developer
      3. Application Implementation Consultant.
