    Title:
    Opportunity Owner Leader
    Summary:
Need to know who the leader of the owner is on the opportunity (not always same as creator).
    Content:

    Hello,

I currently use the  Employee ‘Name’ from the “Employee” Subject area. I am able to pull in ‘Manager Name’ from there as well. Often times, the person who created the opportunity does not remain the owner of the opportunity. I also can pull in the ‘Owner’ from the “Opportunity” subject area.

The “Employee” subject area is apparently tied to the creator of the opportunity.

I also need to see the Manager of the Opportunity “Owner” specifically. How can I do that? Any thoughts?

See attached screen shots if necessary.

      Hello Stephanie,

You can use the "Sales - CRM Pipeline" subject area.
"Employee" dimension here would provide you the information on the owner of the Opportunity.

      Thanks,
      Hitesh

      Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I am using the "Sales - CRM Pipeline" subject area and using " Employee", "Name". This is pulling in the name of the person who originally created the opportunity. That person has since changed and now the opportunity is showing a different owner. My report has both fields. The Name of the Employee who is the person that created the opp AND the current Opportunity owner. The report is pulling in two different names. The "Manager of Employee" is pulling in the leaders name of the person who is showing in the "Employee", "Name" column. I need the leader of the Opportunity Owner. Does that make sense?

      Thanks,

      Stephanie

        Hello Stephanie,

Within the "Employee"."Employee Name" data field in your analysis report, enter the following into the Column Formula and see if it pulls in the Manager for the current owner of the Opportunity.

CASE WHEN "Opportunity"."Owner Resource ID"="Employee"."Person ID" THEN "Employee"."Manager of Employee" ELSE "Employee"."Employee Name" END

        Regards,
        AP

      Hello Stephanie,

      Regret the inconvenience.

What you observe is not the expected behavior.

I would request you to reach out to the Oracle support team and open an SR.
They would get more details on this behavior, collect the necessary logs and help you address this problem.

      Thanks,
      Hitesh
