    Title:
Hiding "end activity" if no inventory items added and populating field according to added items
    Content:

    Hey,

    First question:
We have a situation that we don't want technicians to complete activities without adding any inventory items. So basically if ActualAmount = 0, hide "end activity" button.
Is there a way to do this without adding extra properties?

Currently we've done this so that when ending activity, it just shows a checkbox which asks technician "have they added all the needed items", but as you know this isn't enough because it doesn't actually check that.

I noticed that there was similar issue about showing inventory.properties in activity end screen and it was already posted to Idea Lab, which was great! yes

    Second question:
Can I populate a field according to what inventory item is added to activity? (Currently I just want to think about ONE added item + one field populate according to that).

For example, if technician adds item "X" to activity, then populate field Y with "00000-22222-33333".

Thanks guys and have a nice weekend!

    Hi Antero,

We have a similar requirement and have used custom properties and message scenarios. Create a custom property to capture inventory items for the activity. Create a message scenario for Install/deinstall/exchange equipment launch condition and update the custom property.  Control the visibility of the end button using custom property.

    Hope this helps :)

        Hi Antero,

Sorry but no idea, because if I'm right then no good transit between activity and inventory properties related to your request.

        Regards,
        Zsolt

Hi Sridhar! This is actually something we had done before in test environment, and we had forgotten it. Now that you suggested this, I found it and tested it again. It seems to work just like I wanted, but there was only some slight delay after item was added until the property was updated by message scenario. But anyways, it's the best solution right now!

          Thanks!
