    Title:
Export PBCS Reporting Web Studio report to Excel with numeric formatting instead of text
    Summary:
Export PBCS Reporting Web Studio report to Excel with numeric formatting instead of text
    Content:

Whenever we open a PBCS Reporting Web Studio report in Excel all the numbers are in text, which means we can't sum rows.  Currently, we have to highlight any column we want to sum and do "Text to Columns" to fix the formatting.  This becomes a little cumbersome when we have numerous columns to fix each time we run the report to Excel.  Within the report I have values set to numeric but it still doesn't help the issue.  Any ideas on how to fix?  Thanks, John

It's a little clunky, but if you open the report directly in Smartview, meaning you have to connect to the "Reporting Settings" connection and you open it there, the numbers display correctly in Excel.  Though I agree this should be fixed with the Excel report output option!

Thank you Kim!  We will utilize Smartview.

We SRed this and there's bug  29215490 open for this, but opening them in SV is the current workaround. I think it started happening around the Dec patch.

The February 2019 EPBCS / PBCS update included a fix for this bug and it appears to have fully resolved it for our reports.
