      Hi Joe,

Please give more detail. What documentation have you reviewed, what have you tried, how much experience do you have with OPA? Giving more information will help the Community know where to start with getting you the information you need.

      Thanks in Advance!

      Hi Danette,

I am trying to integrate OPA with Fusion HCM. Need to get values from HCM system and do some calculation on the data then have to sent back the calculated data to HCM. I have a experience in OPA with rightnow but with HCM, this is my first project. Want to know whether need to create web service or any other build in web connectors are available for Fusion HCM. I just referred developer guide. http://documentation.custhelp.com/euf/assets/devdocs/february2017/PolicyAutomation/en/Default.htm#Guides/Developer_Guide/Developer_Guide.htm%3FTocPath%3DDeveloper%2520Guide%7C_____0

      Thanks,

      Joe

      Hi Joe

There's no out-of-the-box OPA - Fusion HCM connector currently available but you can connect OPA to pretty much anything using web services. The developer guide you found has detail. Once the web service connection is set-up, the mapping is all done from within Policy Modeling (the same interface you use for mapping to Rightnow / Service Cloud).

That said, all Oracle folk have access to an integrated end-to-end HCM - OPA - HCM demo where that connection has already been set-up. Perhaps you could reach out to your contacts to ask for a demo.

      Hope that helps,

      Fiona

      Hi Fiona,

Thanks for your response. Actually now i am having HCM WSDL. I just configured the WSDL in connection. It shows Error status while checking in message log it show OPA-RN-4 error code which means Metadata download error. Is there any standard metadata format there?

      Thanks,

      Joe

The error probably means that the metadata being returned isn't metadata XML but perhaps an error HTML page?  The expected metadata format would look like the example response shown for the GetMetadata action (http://documentation.custhelp.com/euf/assets/devdocs/february2017/PolicyAutomation/en/Default.htm#Guides/Developer_Guide/Connector_Framework/WSDL_Reference/Metadata_service/Metadata_service.htm#GetMetadata) which is described in more details in the "Expose application metadata" topic (http://documentation.custhelp.com/euf/assets/devdocs/february2017/PolicyAutomation/en/Default.htm#Guides/Developer_Guide/Connector_Framework/Expose_application_metadata.htm)

      Hi Brad,

Thanks for your response. Here i have HCM WSDL where i can not modify anything. i have already  referred the document which you mentioned.

      Thanks,

      Joe

To integrate HCM with OPA is to define in an OPA rule base.

Set Up HCM, then selectSystem Administration, then selectUtilities, then selectBuild Time and Labor Rules, then selectOPA Rule Base Table

      Thanks!

The developer guide you found has detail. Once the web service connection is set-up, the mapping is all done from within Policy Modeling (the same interface you use for mapping to Rightnow / Service Cloud) Weblogic Admin Training.
