Hi Fusion Gurus,
We have requirement, where client currently has multiple processes which needs different number of DFFs specific to the process. The processes are common to all BUs. So context sensitive at BU level cannot be a solution.
We have an option to take care of the non-catalog items where I am able to use smart forms for the same.
What is the option to create PRs for different processes where each process requires different additional information? This is for Catalog items. Again, the expense items defined in the system can be used across processes. So, restricting items against local catalog is not permitted.
Thanks,
Sanjit

What is the context you want to define? Also what is the ask? You are asking if there is an automatic way to detect context and display DFFs based on that detection? That I don't believe we support. But if you were to define the context yourself, then on a requisition, you can make the relevant DFF attributes to display if you choose the right context. That is something I am guessing you already know.
Hi Ashok,
I have not gone the context sensitive route, as that only limits to BU level. Which is not what we can restrict the processes too.
Rather I was thinking of defining all the DFFs as global and make them conditionally Rendered.
Through sandbox personalization, I see we can make the DFF fields mandatory, visible , etc.
But the attributes are not complete enough. e.g. the attributes that work are justification, UOM, Catalog name etc. None of these are relevant.
But that option is not working for as well. What is the other approach we can take for the process. Any ideas / suggestions looking into the process in PR is welcome.
Thanks,
Sanjit
Hi Ashok,
Yes Sandbox customization supports global DFFs to be rendered, made mandatory, made visible based on attributes(fields) on the PR page. But not enabled for all fields of the page. So see a bottleneck to progress from here.
Or more generic if I put across this question,

Or more generic if I put across this question, how are the clients who had context sensitive DFFs in PR for multiple processes(context sensitive DFF had options for Option A,B,C and D) and the client is going to Fusion, how are their processes getting catered?

I conferred on this internally. The recommendation is to see if we can have an idea for the same. Could you please check if an idea already exists and if not, create a new one with as much detail as possible? Here are some notes that might help when creating an idea:

I am not aware of a way to enable a Global DFF to be rendered sensitive to specific context. I don't believe the design supports it. Let's see if the customers disagree.
