    Hi,

I would like to call an Incident Workspace from a Task WS in a Workflow. Kindly let me know  .

Requirement : In a Workflow i have placed a Task workspace and on activity Type equals Concession Request, i m trying to call Incident WS. But this is giving me an error as "Cannot find "Last Incident" in list of available records".

Please suggest me what could be the issue and how to resolve this. Also pls let me know in what cases we generally encounter these sort of errors.Pls find the attachement for Workflow.

    Thanks in advance

Divya - You need to add Create element of Incident type before loading Workspace.....

      Divya -

If you haven't already, I'd recommend watching the workflow tutorials and become familiar with how data is stored and referenced in the workflow record pool.

      Hi Suresh T,

My requirement is like when i open a new incident and under Task tab, when i click on Add New button to creat a new Task, based on the Activity Type (Concession Request), i need to open the previous incident (Same Reference Number ) in the Task Workspace.

For this i have created a Task Workflow as attached above and assigned to Task under Workspaces/Workflows of a Profile.

So as per the above post you have mentioned that we need to add Create element of Incident type before loading Workspace, but my question is if we use create element then a new incident will be created? but in my case, i need the same Incident WS with the same reference number . Can you please help me in this regards.

      Thanks in advance

      Divya -

In your workflow you have not defined this record: "...i need the same Incident WS with the same reference number."  Each element in a workflow has an associated working record which can then be referenced by other elements in the flow (hence my suggestion you view the tutorials to understand how this works).  In the workflow example you've attached, you're logically asking the system to do the following:

LOAD Task > WHEN Activity Type changes > IF Activity Type = Concession Request THEN LOAD Incident

The reason you're receiving a workflow execution error is that you have not defined a working record for the Incident element.

      Hi Team,

I am having the same requirement, below is my business usecase,

      1. Task is opened directly from task report.

      2. When the user clicks on custom 'Open Incident' button, incident related to that task should be loaded.

      3. Currently am using 'Incident Search' report in Load Incident element, where it shows a report for users to search for the incident.

But users should be able to open the related incident without searching in report.
I dint get any helpfull information from documentation. Appreaciate your help.

I have attached the workflow design.
