    Title:
Oracle Digital Assistant Cloud vs ODA SaaS
    Summary:
Oracle Digital Assistant Cloud vs ODA SaaS
    Content:

So we have two versions of ODA one which is for Oracle SaaS and another which is for any use case, in order to advise clients, trying to understand if there is any functionality or feature difference or limitations.. listing down what i know so far...

    SaaS version should:

    • be connecting to SaaS, should not be used if skills involved is unrelated to Oracle SaaS product
    • comes in same identity domain as SaaS, example ERP Cloud
    • this is where, Oracle provided Digital Assistant (example HCM, ERP, EPM) will be deployed
    • customers can created new skills and assistants

Appreciate if you can add more or reference to any blog or documentation where we can find more..

It is more of a licensing separation than a functional separation. You can also get HCM, ERP other Fusion Apps skills from the Bot store in ODA.

Functionality wise, the 2 services are basically the same today; same service but different way to buy. The SaaS version is designed to be easier for an existing SaaS customer to be able to buy and be provisioned for the service. If you have a specific situation where it is not clear which you would choose, please contact us directly.

If you are an Oracle partner we have provided guidance on this already in a recent webcast.

        Hi Martin,

We are a new SAAS(ERP,HCM) customer on our journey to cloud and would like to check out the out of box Digital assistants that are available for use.

Can you please let us know how to get started and view the ODA capabilities.

        Thanks,

        --John.

      Hi John,
Thanks for your interest in the Digital Assistant for SaaS Skills. The current process is that SaaS customers will automatically be provisioned an instance of Digital Assistant when their SaaS apps are upgraded to 19D. The pre-built skills that are available will be in their skill store.

      Regards
      Martin

        Thank you Martin!

We are slated for upgrade to 19D in December.

While we wait on the upgrade, is there any documentation/material that will help us be prepared for what we can expect from ODA in 19D.

        Thanks for the prompt responses.

        Thanks,
