Hi Team,
I have list of values in service request category standard field and to delete one of the value. I have not associated that category in any service request but I am not able to delete that value.
I tried with disabled that value but still that value is displaying in the UI.
The category values are present inside setup and maintenance->Manage service request categories, We have tree structured category values.
Note:
I have referred the below document regarding this but I am not aware of that profile option (SVC_SR_IN_DELETED_DAYS) mentioned there. If anyone knows about this profile option please explain here.

Categories with 'Active' checkbox 'unchecked' don't appear in the Categories choice list in Service request. We had several junk Categories and we inactivated them. they disappeared from the list.
SVC_SR_IN_DELETED_DAYS profile option is to purge Deleted SR after specific period

I have unchecked those,but still it is visible only.
I have changed the SVC_SR_IN_DELETED_DAYS value as less number of days.
Once I run the job "Purge Deleted Service Requests" and try to delete the same value which is deleted perfectly and this is resolved.

This Process is to purge the deleted SRs as I told before. So do you mean to say that after the SRs were all purged (which were having the junk Categories) the categories disappeared from dropdown?
Yeah you are correct. But after run that job only the value gets disappeared from the drop down.
