    Title:
    Amazon Punch Out
    Summary:
Issue getting UNSPSC catalog mapping for Amazon
    Content:

We are trying to get hierarchical view of UNSPSC code, which shows the higher-level groupings of products from Amazon. The motive for this file is to have it cover all possible selection and we can map the whole set to reduce one-off operational maintenance.

But we are told that this is something that we need to purchase from UNSPSC and have it map this to Amazon catalog by ourselves to its entirety.

We are wondering is any of you have done Amazon Punch Out? Is there any other solution to accomplish this?

It would be good to have other customers contribute here if they have a shared experience.

      Kumar,

Please ask Amazon to provide all UNSPSC codes what they are using for their products.

Map that UNSPSC codes with your internal category code that works.

      Thanks,

      Dev Thota.

      Hi Kumar,

If you would like to map and cover all items of amazon better map to Level1 of the UNSPC- like 10000000 . By this way it will be broad and covers all the sub categories under that. Also it will be less maintenance. but the flip side would be on the spend analysis which will be difficult to classify if proc or sourcing team want to see the spend analysis for the categories. Hope that helps

      Thanks

      Ramesh

Amazon also provides default mapping if you want.

You can get in touch with them - and they can provide a default category something like 7777777

that you can use as a default.
