    Title:
Not able to setup project budget approval
    Summary:
We don't use budgetary control, but we need approval only for budget
    Content:

    Hello,

Can anyone help me with the project budget approval setups? I am not able to enable 'Approveplan...' task under BPM  worklist, do I need to do any other setups under projects side to activate the approval workflow? Also I have the below questions:

    1. Does BPEL plays any role in project approvals?
    2. In case if I need to do anything under BPEL, is there any document available for direction?
    3. Is there any separate place I can setup projects hierarchy or can I use requisition hierarchy?

    Thanks in advance

    Hari

Have you enabled the Financial Plan Type for workflow?

Yes I did and I check again, also I see the document says use Business Process Engineering Language (BPEL) workflows to manage budget and forecast approvals. This means it is not under BPM?

Please clarify what you mean by not being able to 'enable' the task in the BPM worklist.

I mean, I am not able to define any rule under 'ApprovePlanVersion' task under BPM - Task Configuration (for projects) as it is greyed out (attached the screen shot). In general for purchasing once I select the task that to be configured - assignee tab - go to rule (under a participant, eg. header stage) and define rule there, but the 'go to rule' is not available for project for 'ApprovePlanVersion' task?

Have you clicked the Edit Task (pencil) icon in order to put the task in Edit mode?

        Thanks Dustin,

Issue is with IE browser, when I tried in chrome it worked fine. I still have the below question, appreciate if you can provide any input

        3. Is there any separate place I can setup projects hierarchy or can I use requisition hierarchy which is already defined for Procurement?
