    Title:
Creating business obect from table creation sql scripts
    Content:

    HI All,

We are using vbcs as part of Autonomous OIC. One thing we have learnt is that the underlying database is not accessible using sqldeveloper. Now in order to create business objects we have to either create manually or use some xsd's. We do not have those xsd's readily available. We do have the table creation sql scripts that we would like to use to create business objects. Do anyone of you know if there is a way to do that? Or may be any work around?

    Thanks,

    Bhavesh

No there is no way to run SQL to create the business objects.

You can create business objects based on csv or xls files though - see this demo:

I do not see the option to create business object using csv file when i go to data manager. I can see only below 4 options.

There is obviously a way to do it, because in the end everything is based off the DB, however it would be largely irrational.  If, however, you are only doing it as a though experiment I can probably help since I have SQL Developer set up and can trace the sql executions upon creation of a BO.  Again though I would never recommend you do this as any type of production process

Bshah, which version of VBCS are you using?

Are you using classic apps or visual apps?

If you scroll that screen further down - do you see the option?
