Data can be inserted on "Not started" periods
    Summary:
Data can be inserted on "Not started" periods
    Content:

    Hi,

Despite having the october period not started on my application, I can insert data. The same is happening with all future periods from september (the last started month). I would expect data cannot be introduced on future periods since they have not been started. Is something I am missing?

    Thanks.

It is possible to enter data in all years and periods regardless of Approval process being started. The only way to block inputting data is when the periods are locked or not assigning owners to entities when the approval units are started. A workaround ban be setting up a valid intersection rule with Year, Period, and Entity combination and manage input that way. One down side of this workaround is, when year, period and entity combination is mace invalid, those years and periods become not selectable in web forms which is probably ok because you wouldn't select future years and periods.

    Hope this helps.
