    Content:

There is a requirement to restrict movement requests and subinventory transfers from and to a particular subinventory (UI). I'm able to restrict subinventory transfer from UI using material status control but need your help to know how to do the same for transactions happening to UI. Also how to do this for movement request transfers?

    Your help is appreciated!

This can be done by following the steps below:

Step 1: Set Restrict Subinventory to 'Yes' for the item in Product Information Management under 'Inventory' specifications.

Step 2: Assign the item to the subinventory. Navigate to tasks "Manage Subinventories and Locators" in Functional Setup Manger.

Step 3: The inventory transaction will be restricted to the specified subinventory.

As a followup question we have requirement to restrict item to certain locators . If we make the Item - Restrict to Subinventory for the Subinventory type Storage . Unable to receive the item in Subinventory which is Receiving type as this subinventory is not available in the list of values . Also not able to find the option to add item to receiving type subinventory . How can this be handled?
