    Title:
R13 - After Upgrade MICR Line on AP Checks in Non-MICR Font
    Summary:
After upgrade to R13 the MICR line on our checks was in a font not acceptable by banks.
    Content:

After our R13 upgrade in Production we found that our AP checks had MICR lines printed in basic non-MICR font.  We had not caught this in our testing.

Our check template was configured by an implementation consultant in R9 and the font used for that line was "IDAutomationMICR" which doesn't seem to be mapped to MICR target font in BI Publisher.

I don't know if "IDAutomationMICR" is a standard font for this purpose.  Is it?  I don't know if/why the upgrade would remove a mapping.

I think the resolution is as simple as adding the mapping to target font MICR___.TTF.  Can anyone advise me if I'm missing something?

    Thanks, Wendy

I just checked with development and you are correct and your resolution should work.  This may be related to the fact that the MICR font was not preserved during the upgrade and there is a BI bug on this.

Hi Becky, is it enough for me just to map IDAutomationMICR to MICR___.TTF as shown in my attachment ("IDAutomationMapping.jpg")?

Or do I have to upload the custom font first, as shown in Neelam's instructions?

        Thanks, Wendy

Yea I would reupload the custom font first.  Development did say that MICR font was not preserved during the upgrade.  So this will ensure that you cover all bases.

Well, this is the gift that keeps on giving.  We received maintenance update over the weekend and our custom MICR font was wiped out again and needed to be re-uploaded.  Wendy
