    Title:
Instant App - Call External Web API event
    Summary:
Cant get to work the Call External Web API event in Instant App
    Content:

    Hello Gurus -

May I know how exactly we use the Call External Web API works? Sadly, the Oracle documentation is confusing for me.

I am stuck on what should be entered for the field Event Name the  Data Key

I am using Google API but can't get it to work.

    https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?latlng=40.714224,-73.961452&key=apikey

When I test the event nothing happened, and I can see that the API was not triggered as I checked it on Google API Metrics side that there was no incoming message.

    Any advise is highly appreciated!

      Hi,

dataKey is an unfortunate name. Its actually the name of an object that you want the returned data to be added to as properties. Consider it as the name of a variable that is an object. Returned data then is accessible through this name.

For the event name, create a call back event in Instant Apps and then use the same name as the event name. The call back is needed for Instant Apps to call back into the app when the asynchronously fetched data is returned by the remote service
