    ask a question subject erased when product changes

    On my ask question page supportcenter.ieee.org, If you enter a subject and then decide to change the product (topic), the subject field gets erased and you must enter it all over again.  I looked at the widget documentation and don't see a way to control this behavior

    To build off what Narendra is mentioning, it looks as though the CustomAllInputDynamic widget is the culprit.

    The issue looks like it might be coming from the _hideAllElements function in the javascript code from this line:

    If I alter the name to "Incident.Subject1" in the source and modify the category selection, the subject doesn't get cleared. I think if you remove this line, the code should work as expected, might have been a logic error or a miscommunicated requirement.

      OSC OOTB, won't change the data in the Subject field based on Category selection. I could see you have some customized widgets on your page. Look into those widgets. I guess, custom/input/TextInputDynamic this is the one of the widget which is erasing the subject based on the category selection.

      Thanks.  I'll look into it.  A consultant created that widget and the dynamic ask a question form.

      Thanks Rajan,  I found the code and made few adjustments.  Thanks to this community to help a novice like me!
