    Title:
    #NoData to Zeros
    Summary:
Code Snippet for changing No data fields in forms into Zeros
    Content:

    Hello guys,

Could somebody please provide me an example of code snippet that would change empty fields into "0" when populating input forms. In my example, i have two accounts in columns and 5 custom movement members in rows. When user opens up a form and inserts values in f.e. 3 fields/intersections for the first account and leaves 2 blank fields for the same account, I would like these 2 fields to become 0 after running consolidation f.e. I need this for report purposes, because i have conditional formats that replaces values with zeros in cells that have No Data. Thats why i need zeros for periods that have entries, so I can distinct between empty fields and zeros . Is this possible ?

Thanks very much in advance !

      Hi Mihajlo,

I strongly recommend to do some redesign on your conditional formatting, because creating zeros is asking for performance problems.

In forms, No data can be displayed as a zero, without having a zero in your app.

      Thanks,

        Hi Michel,

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. If zeros could be replaced with missing values within the form property, it would solve my problem. Can tou please tell me how ? When I uncheck "Display missing values as blank" i can see that emply fields are populated with #missing, and i need zeros. Thanks !

You're right, I expected that the AdHoc display settings would address this, but not for the forms.

Displaying missing values as blank is the way to go, and make some adjustments in your conditional formatting.

Are you aware that you can post an Idea in the Idea lab, to request this change in the application?

          Thanks,
