    Summary:
File system in Oracle Cloud Database
    Content:

    Hi experts,

Is there anyway to access the filesystem of the provisioned cloud DB. I am trying to create files in the filesystem in which the db instance is created and transfer it for further processing. Please provide your feedback.

    Thanks & Regards,

It depends on the subscription type:

If it's a "Schema service" or "Exadata Express service" then there is no possibility to access the db's filesystem.

If it is regular DB as a Service - then you have full access to its compute instance by ssh and therefore to the file system.

      Regards.

      Hi,

As per my understanding your requirements,

you can use scp if your environment is linux or unix

you can use curl if your environment is windows

      examples in case of scp

      scp –i private_key_file <path_filename> oracle@IP_address_DBaaS_VM:<path_on_cloud>

      Regards,
