    Log files In VBCS

    Hi,

Is there any way to download log files in VBCS similar to what we do in ADF.

    Version:

We are not providing direct access to the server log files in the cloud. The question though is what would you expect to find in those logs?

Since your VB app code is mostly running in the browser - what do you think you'll get from the server side?

Where are your REST services layer running - I would expect that you'll be able to get logging about that layer wherever it runs.

We are working on upcoming features in VB to help you get logging and monitoring info about your running apps.

What layer are you expecting to get a log for?

The REST backend? How is that implemented in your app?

Or are you expecting some UI log?

What would you like to do with the downloaded log?

        Hi Shay,

Thanks for your reply. I need the downloaded log for debugging purpose mainly for UI. I know since VBCS is web UI tool most of the debugging will be done in development tools offered by the browser. But how do i get the log from the person who is using the application in his/her machine and ran into some issue while using the application.?

        Regards,

        Rajeev

In Chrome Developer Tools you can right mouse click and choose "Save As"  on the console log.

        Hi Mills,

        Thanks for the response.

Saving the console log is fine as long as we are in development stages. Is there any ability to track what exactly application is doing at any point in production environment.

Is there any mechanism in VBCS to get the logs from any file?

      Hi,

Does VBCS runs on Weblogic instance? If yes can we extract logs from VBCS Weblogic instance by connecting through SSH to VBCS cloud machine?
