    Title:
Can we create a DFF that is dynamically updated by the Location in the Charge Account
    Summary:
Create a DFF that is automatically updated by the Location field in the Charge Account
    Content:

    Hi Folks,

We are trying to create a DFF that is automatically populated from whatever value is in the Location chart field in the Distribution Charge account.

Ideally when the user saves the Requisition/PO the DFF will pick up the Location value in the Charge Account and get populated with that.  If the location field gets updated, then the DFF gets similarly updated.

Any thoughts or guidance on how to accomplish this?

    Thanks,

    Bill

We had similar requirement in PO form where we wanted to automate the DFF defaulting on the basis of need by or promise dates.

But looks like it is not possible to do so in cloud (until Release 13 Update 18B).

I am not sure whether the same applies to PR form as well.

Here is the update that we received from Oracle:

Using DFFs based on PO parameters is currently not supported and is already identified in the product backlog. We do have existing ER but the scope of PO parameters are limited to BU's (Proc BU/Req BU) and Item.

      Hi William,

This feature is not available in current version to populate the DFF Dynamically based on value from another column on same page. I have created ER for the same in past.

      Thanks,

      Uma Seethala

Why don't you create this as an idea in the Ideas lab? That way there is an active record of what you need. When you do that, please provide business justification, use cases and examples. If other customers also offer their ratings and opinions, we can then review this to determine whether this is something many customers desire.

      Thanks
