Hi Gurus,
In one of the requirement, an actiivty will be not done when the technician does not have the required inventory. Once the inventory is loaded for the technician the Supervisor/ Engineer will reopen the activity.
During this scenario when it is reopened the existing or other entered information are not present. How do we acheive this?
Thanks,

Hi Madhu,
If the technician closing an activity with "Not done" then this action is result an almost same activity as if he closing with "Complete". I mean, both activities are closed, no future action is possible. Or you can trigger your middleware to make the activity "again", but the details (made by the technician) from the original one isn't easily loaded into the new one. IMO this is a bad solution to reopen the activity, because it's already finalized by the technician, you can't track middle actions, and you lose some information as you found that (which can be a bug also, but in our environment this option is disable for those reasons).
When he need to continue later, then he need to "Suspend" the original one, and OFSC made a duplicated activity with pending status on his/her "Not ordered" pool. The activity need to pick up by someone who is also working on that activity, he can also "Suspend" it after he done his job, and reassign to the original technician who can finish it with "Complete". Finally you will have (let's say) three activity with the same external ID, and you can summarize the spent time with your reporting tool. Comments and custom fields can be different on all three which can be good for analytics reason.

Zsolt
