    Journal entry screen freezing up

    I have end-users that are having their screens "freeze" on them when trying to enter journals in the General Accounting > Journals. They have cleared their cache, logged completely off and back onto their computers and are still having issues.

      Which browser are they using? Have you tried a different browser?

        They have tried both FireFox and Chrome.

          Interesting. Does the freeze occur at the same time? I.E. When they click a certain area or button or is it simply any time on the Create Journal page, it just stops working?

      Curious to what version and patch you are on?

      Even we are facing the same issue for one of the user. The home page gets freezen once the users logins.

        Do you all have SRs open with Oracle for this? It really seems to be performance and if it is not, I would point towards internal security of your IT department maybe blocking the Oracle Environments. Can you share your version and patch as well? If it matches the one above of Kim, this could be version specific.

            Same version as Kim! At least we have found a common denominator which is the 18C patch. I have yet to encounter this in our support environment which has the same patch as well. Definitely would say to review Neelam's comment below to determine if pop-ups could be causing this. What about the Security Exception of your browser? Have you added the instance to the trusted sources?

      Look into the popup blocker, perhaps a prompt that requires a response is being blocked.

      This is probably a long shot.  I had something similar happen several years ago.  Two users were impacted out of dozens.  What the two of us had in common was that we were accessing the Journals screen from Favorites created in an earlier release.  The favorite link was taking us back to a prior versions  create Journal screen that would lock up or not allow portions of the form to be accessed.
