    Title:
Automate Catalog Administration in Procurement Catalogs
    Summary:
Automate Catalog Administration in Procurement Catalogs
    Content:

We have 1200+ contracts which will be imported as Contract Purchase Agreements and Blanket Purchase Agreements in Oracle.

These contracts will further require to be setup as part of the catalog administration tasks i.e catalog (with exclusion rules) , smart forms and content zone with security (assigned to each user/group in content security). Since we have a high volume of contracts (CPA/BPA) we dont want to perform the catalog administration task setup manually as it will be take days to complete.

Does the system provide any option to import these catalog setup tasks (e.g. FBDI, Adfdi template, etc)?

    Hi Anil,

Perhaps it is worthwhile setting up an RPA tool to perform this task once (and can be used again if new contracts are imported).

Not at this time. Anil,  I believe we do have an idea in the Ideas Lab as well that you can find and up vote.

But, I do have a couple of questions:

The need to automate these is driven presumbaly by factors including: Efficiency, Time saved, Ease of creation etc.

But are these likely to have a repeat value once the initial configuration is done? I understand changes can occur but will there be a value justification for the automation in terms of volume of data to provide the automation?

Do you have use cases in terms of volume where you think the value can be justified?

Would love to hear from you and other customers as well.

        Thanks Ashok.

We have daily agreements (BPA/CPA) interfaced from a 3rd party application and these agreements will further require the catalog administrator to administer as a catalog/smart form/content zone, etc.

If we have a FBDI/ADfdi type of arrangement to mass load all these objects, that would be very helpful for the catalog administrator to create/maintain these catalog objects.Administering the catalogs using the catalog administration  tasks during the implementation is time consuming.
