    Title:
    502 Bad Gateway error while creating Service COnnection in VBCS
    Summary:
    502 Bad Gateway error
    Content:

    Hi,

    We have some REST API's exposed for CRUD operations on DBCS tables using ORDS. We also applied trusted SSL on DBCS so that the HTTP calls from browser wouldn't be blocked.

    Below is the sample GET REST URL and it works well in any browser.

    https://ownerportal.solairus.aero/ords/solpdb/solairusprod/rest/tripDetailsByCat/10695

    However, when we use same GET URL in VBCS to create a service connection, it throws "502 Bad Gateway" error as shown below. And the error is "No trusted certificate found". We are sure that SSL cert we applied on DBCS is valid and that's why the browser is also not blocking the response.

    Any help would be appreciated.

        "status": 502,
        "title": "Bad Gateway",
        "detail": "{\"type\":\"abcs://proxy_auth_problem/ssl/cert\",\"title\":\"SSL Certificate Error\",\"detail\":\"A certificate in the remote path is reported as invalid because of 'No trusted certificate found'\",\"status\":502}"
    }

    Yes it's available in 18.4.1. Are you on customer-managed or autonomous? If on customer-managed you can initiate an upgrade yourself from the Cloud Service Console. If you're on Autonomous file an SR to be upgraded.

      Believe you need to import the ORDS certificate into list of trusted certificates in VBCS. As admin, click the main hamburger menu in top-left and click Certificates.

      Thank you for the response John.

      I have admin role to both OIC and VBCS. Please see screenshot. But still I don't see the "Certificate" option in VBCS.

      We are on VBCS: Version: 18.3.3

      Please help.

      Thank you John. We are on Customer Managed. Let me request for an upgrade. Will validate this after that.

      John, Actually I forgot that we are using VBCS instance that comes embedded with OIC - Oracle Integration Cloud.

      Do you know how to request for an upgrade of VBCS which is part of OIC?

    • John Ceccarelli

      Same thing - if it's customer-managed OIC then do upgrade yourself from Service Console and if it's OIC request upgrade through SR.

      I don't seem to find an option for upgrade on My Cloud Services Dashboard. Will try creating ans SR. Thanks John.
