Can we restrict category access to certain employees or department or roles. we have a scenario where we need to restrict the category access to certain department, roles. Based on the role of user, he should be able to see certain category and other categories should not be visible. How can this be achieved in Cloud Self service procurement

Hi,
I am not aware of any of such functionality myself. I think you can only secure content zones for Self Service Procurement by either Business Unit or individual workers.

If you plan to have Blanket Agreements for those categories with suppliers, you could create content zones and include specific blanket agreements in the content zones, grant access to specific workers. But this will be maintenance intensive option. I am not aware of any other option to achieve this.
Thanks,

For others benefit, sharing Oracle input based on SR and got the answer on similar lines
The Fusion SSP Content Zone is assigned either to some or all Users directly, or to Requisitioning Business Unit. For Buyer Purchasing use (as opposed to Requesters) the assignment would be done at the user level. Categories cannot be accessed based on the Department or role. Please go through the Below KM note for reference.
Catalog Authoring in Fusion Self Service Procurement (Doc ID 1322921.1) , we can access based on Requisition BU and Individual User.
