    Summary:
    Payment requests charging to projects
    Content:

    Hi,

Is there any future plans to include project fields for one time payments. Tested in 18C as well no project fields available. To transfer the cost to projects cloud.

    Thanks

      Ravi,

Have not really thought about it.  Not sure if payment requests is a source that would integrate to projects.  Need to think about that.

      Ravi,

What are you trying to import?  One time payments are meant to pay without creating invoices or suppliers.  I did some digging and PPM imports only invoices and cost receipts from valid suppliers so putting project information into one time payments would not do any good since PPM would not pickup any of the costs during the import process of the payments from the one time payments process.

One time payments was meant to replace standard AP functions but to act as a payment engine for 3rd party systems that do not have the ability pay such as student refunds, patient claims, insurance claims, property tax refunds, jury duty payments, etc.  All these type of payments would not be costed to a project but would just need to generate payment request and issue a payment.

        Hi Becky,

I was trying to use one time payment for terminated employees who have cash expenses that need to be reimbursed. As the HR record been end-dated to avoid any payroll issues, was wondering using this option and charge to project at the same time. This will avoid creating them as suppliers and maintenance of supplier record in the future.

        Thanks

        Ravi

This does not sound like a common use case. Perhaps you should consider also separately importing the expenses as Project Miscellaneous Costs.

We would also be very interested in this functionality. We are using the Grants module, and many of our grants/projects pay subject participants for participating in their study. We would like to use the one time payment functionality to process these payments, but need to drive the accounting through to a project.
