    Check before create contact

    Hi All,

    I need to check whether the given email id have contact or not. if the mentioned email id has contact, i need to create incident for that contact. if the email id not having contact then create a contact as well as incident for that contact.


    Its like a enquiry page. First user enter their information like first name,last name and email address then they will give interested product details through opa interview. if that particular email id has contact then incident should create under that email id.(only incident). if given email id not having contact then contact as well incident should be create (contact + incident). i need to check contact before creating incident.

      Hi Joe,

      How are people accessing this page?

      Do they have to login or create an account (or could they create an account if they're a first time user)?

      If you're forcing them to login or create an account, you can use OPA mappings to do this quite easily, with something like my attached screenshot.

      Hi Daniel,

      Thanks for your response. Actually i used mapping setting as you mentioned. Both users (new user and exist user) will access this page. if new user access the page that time contact will crate and incident also created under that contact. if existing user access the page with logged in then incident will create under the user.


      if existing user access that page, Incident will create under the mentioned email without login.
