    Title:
Adding a segment label to existing CoA
    Summary:
Need to qualify a segment as Cost Center for use in approval rules
    Content:

I am working on setting up AP invoice approval rules, based on the Distribution Cost Center Segment line-level attribute. The existing chart of accounts did not have a segment labeled as Cost Center.

I have added the segment label to the appropriate segment in Manage Key Flexfields -> Manage Structures. However, the workflow still does not seem to recognize the segment as Cost Center and rejects the invoices that should be routing under this rule.

Are there any other steps required to add a segment label, other than simply adding the label itself?

pls run ‘Inherit Segment Value Attributes

    re-deploy the flexfield

and 'Publish Chart of Account Dimension Members and Hierarchies to Balances Cubes'

    then,Verify

Did you re-deploy the Accounting Flexfield after you assigned the Cost Center segment label? Did the re-deployment complete successfully, without errors?

      Hi Prithis,

Yes, I did re-deploy the flexfield, and it completed successfully, without errors.

      Thanks,

      Leaman
