    Title:
    PRIMARY_INTENDED_USE in AP FBDI
    Summary:
When populating a value in the primary intended use field invoice is rejected
    Content:

    Hi,

We are using Intended Use in the AP invoices lines to exempt some of the taxes for suppliers. Within the UI we can add the value from the available LOV (as configured in the TAX configuration) system accepts the value and calculates the tax exempt as per setup.

When passing the same value in FBDI system throws error and unable to create the invoice in payable's. Is there a limitation on the interface table it cannot accept a value in the PRIMARY_INTENDED_USE at AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE table.

    Thanks

    Ravi

      Hi Ravi,

I checked the control file for this load (ApInvoiceLinesInterface.ctl) and this field is there PRIMARY_INTENDED_USE and there is no additional logic on this field in control file.

Did you check that value you are provided is actually created in the application?

A tax classification that represents the purpose for which a product is used.

This is one of the fields used by Oracle Fusion Tax to determine the taxes applicable on the invoice line.

Navigation steps to find valid values:
      1. Navigate to Setup and Maintenance.
      2. Search and go to task Manage Intended Use Fiscal Classification Codes.
      3. Click on Search to view available intended use fiscal classification codes.

        Hi Alexey,

I copied the same value what I'm selecting in the UI. It works in the UI, but not in the FBDI.

Wondering if the Payable's interface doesn't like populating that column. When it's blank we can process the invoice without any errors.

        Thanks

        Ravi

      Ravi,

so i guess you are entering the actual value? Did you try to enter the code? I think you can find it in the setup task i posted before.
