    Title:
Are there any publicly accessible hello-world/ simple ngnix/httpd docker images in Oracle container Registry?
    Content:

I am trying to create an App using Kubernetes Dashboard Deployment method. It is prompting to enter the following:

Enter the URL of a public image on any registry, or a private image hosted on Docker Hub or Google Container Registry.

Does anyone know about any sample container images( like a hello world or ngnix something that would display a sample Hello world page in browser) that can be pulled from any Oracle repositories?

    Please suggest

Yes, I already checked that Alex. The only issue is that the url gives me 404 https://hub.docker.com/r/hello_world/ and thus when  enter this url against the "Container Image" for deploying an app via K8s Dashboard, it says invalid format. Thanks so much for responding. I figured out another simple image that I can use "gcr.io/google-samples/node-hello:1.0

This one is useful for me at the moment. Appreciate your assistance!

      Hello,

The Oracle Container Registry is a private registry, it contains only the images YOU have uploaded there. By default it's empty.

To find a sample container images you can go to the docker hub and search there. If you need a list of public images maintained by Oracle on docker hub, here they are: https://hub.docker.com/r/oracle/ but if you find one that interests you and that isn't maintained by Oracle - this is fine too. Just be sure to get it from reputable publishers - look for the "official" images.

      Regards.

Thanks Alex. I'd checked the one in docker hub and didn't find anything matching my requirement.
