    Title:
The member does not exist for the specified cube or you do not have access to it.
    Summary:
RTPs not being passed in Smartview from a form
    Content:

    Hi All,

We are trying to run a rule from a SmartView form. The rule is executed by an action menu setup in PBCS and takes the context from the form and the user selections and runs the rule based on these parameters. All works fine on the web in PBCS but in SmartVview when we try to run this we get the message "The member "xxxx" does not exist for the specified cube or you do not have access to it.". I know people have probably encountered this but I'd be interested in their experiences in either getting a fix or providing a workaround. The users really love SmartView and would like to run this rule from SmartView.

    Any ideas folks?

    Thanks

Any chance it's using the dynamic member creation process to create a new member? (ie: new project, new employee?)

That dynamic member creation doesn't work in smartview and returns exactly that error.

      Cheers

        Thanks Pete,

Yes, this is the case. In terms of a fix is there anything coming do you know? How have people got around this. Is there any viable workaround?

Late response to this post, but I just found out they might have the dynamic member creation working in Smartview WHEN using groovy and dynamic member creation.

Worth a try if you have EPBCS.

          Cheers
