We have requirement add a pause step in the standard DOO_OrderFulfillmentGenericProcess

As suggested in the documentation we copied the seeded orchestration, we were able to add the new pause step, however we were not able to change the previous and next steps, therefore not able position the step in the correct sequence in the orchestration. Has anyone been able to do this?

Typically you should have the focus on the step after which you want to add the pause task.  Process definition UI does not allow you to move the steps around.  These have to be inserted in the right place.  Please add your screen shots and what you are trying to do and we can advise.

      Hi

Thank-you all that replied, I have included screen shots of what happens when we try to add a step, I suspect the issue is because we need to insert a step that would become the first node of one of the existing branches?

      Any help much appreciated

      Regards

That is expected behavior.  If you want to add a first step in the process or in a branch, that is not possible at this time.  You will need to add a new step after step 900 and then change the newly added step to be what was 9000 and then change the 900 to be pause step. Just make sure when you do this, you should remve the line selection criteria on step 900 after copying that to newly added step.  and Then change the 900 to be pause task.

      Hi Shrikant

I tried your advice and the sequence is now correct I copied the Line selection criteria to the new step (using Cut and Paste) however when I validate the rule I get multiple errors, for example RUL-05712: The Value "FactPath" of "Pattern" cannot be be blank, Select a value. Also if I try an validate the process I get the Error

"The Task Name is Step Create Reservation already exists. Enter a unique task name"  I can see where to enter a Unique task name ?

      any help much appreciated.

Error when trying to validate Orchestration

I need to see the entire process definition and the entire rule.  Looking at the error alone I will not be able to help you. For the process validation error ut seems that the task name was not changed to pause when you made the copy.  Best is to schedule an OWC and I can look at it and help you.  I am available until 8:30 AM ET today.
