    Title:
    19 A -- Quarterly Patch
    Summary:
    19 A -- Quarterly Patch
    Content:

    Hi All,

We are applying 19A patches on Feb 1st in non-prod and wondering if anyone had a chance to go through all of the new features of 19A and what are the bugs that have been fixed.

Since there are no more upgrades except quarterly patches, we are making sure to test the existing functionality in the little 2 weeks window between prod and non-prod to minimize the impact to production.

We always had issues with upgrades and every time new issue popped up though we tested so trying to see if any bugs that were fixed in 19A patches, We have the 19A readiness document but still looking for more knowledge.

    Thanks,

    Ratna

      Ratna,

There is always a Known Issues Document for Financials for each release.  The common modules one has already been published for 19A and the Financials on is yet to be published but should be soon.  I would this as a favorite as it is updated for each update.

Oracle Support Document 1597086.1 (Oracle Financials Cloud Functional Known Issues and Maintenance Packs) can be found at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=1597086.1

There is also a common note for all modules in case you have other Cloud Applications

Oracle Support Document 1603154.1 (Oracle Applications Cloud Known Issues and Maintenance Packs) can be found at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=1603154.1

My bad, I confused 19A with 18C. Forget my comment!
      Hey Ratna!
For bugs which have been addresses that I am aware of, here are a few:
      - Manage Customers page from Setup and Maintenance causes browser to require a "Clear Cache". Resolved. You can now search this area from Setup and Maintenance.
      - Reconciliation Reference field for GL Journals now links to CM Reconciliation Reference field in the Manual Reconciliation area.
      - AR Attachments Sending out with Invoices. Not Resolved. SR open with Oracle.
      - Collections Dashboard. Broken. Not displaying data. SR open with Oracle.
      - GL Journal Workflow. Broken. SR open with Oracle.
These are just a few off the top of my mind. If I find a full list, I will let you know!
      Regards,
      Felix

        Hi Felix,

Can you please let me know about the status of GL Journal Workflow ? We are in 18 C and there is a time delay in Journal approval. Approvers
have to wait for longer time to receive the notification.
Is there any bug, resolution related to this ?

        Thanks,

        Siva

          Hey Siva!
There was indeed an issue with the 18C for journals which was caused by the EFFs becoming "undeployed" after the patch application. The confusing part is that the typical navigation to BPM from Setup and Maintenance is defective. You need to navigate to the BPM area with the following:
Click on the Bell Icon -> More Details -> User Name -> Administration -> Task Configuration -> You should see an Error Message. Click "Start Synchronization".
This resolved all our GL Journal Workflow issues including the delay in approvals and posting.
          Hope this helps!
          Regards,
          Felix

Thanks Felix . However we did not receive the error message. We also raised a SR for this issue and waiting for their response.

            • Felix Beaudoin

Seems that this did not completely resolve our issue as well. It's sporadic so we are now looking into the BPM rule itself to determine if that could be the issue.

Felix, Question for you on this bullet point: - AR Attachments Sending out with Invoices. Not Resolved. SR open with Oracle.

Have you been provided with a resolution or had a chance to test in 19A?  We have not yet configured or tested but our users are very interested in this functionality.  Thanks.

      • Felix Beaudoin

        Hey Matthew!

We are still on 18C and not yet on 19A. To answer your question, no it is not yet resolved. Still working with Oracle on this.
I never understand why it's so complicated to enable a new functionality when they are released but anyways, I will let you all know once it is resolved.
        Regards,
        Felix

          Hi Felix,

Some time has passed on this issue.  I setup and tested in 19A but it was not successful.  19B is right around the corner for us and I plan to retest, but I was curious if you were able to resolve via SR or had any other news?  Thanks!

          • Felix Beaudoin

Interesting thing here is that for one client, it doesn't work. For another one of our client's, it does work and Oracle obviously says it works for them. Do you have your SI that I can share with the engineers to help them pin-point the issue? They're with development right now focusing on identifying the bug in the code that is causing specific customers to have this functionality fail.

Hello - Just wanted to see if anyone is having any issues with 19A during your patch testing and if so what are the issues?

We are testing Importing Costs from AP to Projects and found that costs are not importing (although the process logs shows cost imported, we cannot find any costs for the project we created for testing).  We will try again tomorrow but just wanted to see if anyone know of any issues with Importing Costs from AP to Projects.

      Thanks,
      Celestino
