    Hi All,

I'm in the process of migrating my on-premise database to DB Systems on Oracle Cloud Infrastrecture (OCI) using RMAN backup pieces which i uploaded to the object storage via CLI.

I get the below error when creating the SBT metadata.xml file for the Object Storage backup pieces. Has anyone else faced similar error?

Seeing there is no answer and for future reference; there appears to be a limit (at least for database 12c) to the length of the RMAN command when generating the metadata files from backup pieces.  To correct, the list of backup pieces (export backuppiece <backup_file>) should be limited to 10 or less from our experience.  If you have more backup pieces, then run the RMAN command multiple times, using smaller lists.
