    Title:
Issue seeing requisitioner details in procurement subject area
    Summary:
Financial users are unable to see requisitioner names for purchase orders
    Content:

I am hoping someone can please advise in regards to this issue, we have a report which details purchase orders from procurement - purchasing real time area, the report shows all PO details at distribution level however we have two slight issues:

    1. Only users with access to HCM can see the names of the requisitioners

    2. Any user that has left the organisation no longer appears

The outcome of this is that end users are unable to query the PO with the requisitioner as their name does not pull through and the report becomes inaccurate if it is ran by SysAdmin as it is missing POs from users that have left.

I have tried to raise this in an SR, however i have been advised that this issue is not within support guidelines, so I thought I would ask here to see if there is an easy solution.

    Thanks for any advice/help

    Neil

    Hi Thanks for that Brendon.

I have found the answer to get users names through Doc ID 1983485.1 using Manage Data Role and Security Profiles to see Names. however we are also unable to view tax from the subject area, so this gave me a couple of extra roles and a duty to try out, but we are still unable to see tax unless the user has BI Admin access. Therefore i believe it will be a role issue as the reporting users can see distributions, locations etc.

I ripped apart the SQL in the background to ensure that there was no permission issues relating to procurement agents themselves, and there is no added security check, so then i built queries checking each join using the subject area and they could see everything up to the tax which is stored on PO_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL. The users can see distribution numbers etc so there must be an added something to give them tax access relating to procurement and the Purchase Order Transaction Analysis Duty unfortunately did not make any difference.

    Regards

      Hi Neil,

Most of the time it is a security related issue, try checking if the users who are trying to access this Report have the Job Roles and their respective Data Roles as described in this document, Procurement - Purchasing Real Time Subject Area

      Regards,
      Brendon
