The details of above 3 steps are:

      1) Save the attached file Budget_vs._Actual_Reports.catalog (uploaded here in SR on 22- Sept) to a local folder

      2) Go to Navigator - Tools - Reports and Analytics
Expand  Shared Folders - Custom - Projects (see Budget v Actuals_catalog_file_open_1.png picture attached)

      3) Click on Unarchive link  (bottom left section) to browse for the .catalog file from the folder you saved in Step 1)

      4) Search for the file open it and press ok to import the catalog
Now the whole catalog (folder) with Budget_vs._Actual_Reports is imported (it should be on the top) with LastModifiedDate as today (or date when you imported it).

      5) Select the newly imported catalog and press Expand link to drill down into it

Then you can Edit or Open the 'Project Budget vs Actual' report from the catalog you just imported

Hi Dustin, I unarchived the file into a GSE R13 17D environment and the dashboard appears empty. Any suggestions?

It appears these are only shells. I imported in R12 and none of them work. Do we have to perhaps redo the whole thing?

They work, but have to be in a specific folder. Ensure that you unarchive to Expand  Shared Folders - Custom - Projects.  If there isn't a 'Projects' folder under 'Custom', then you can create it.

I see what you are saying. Is it possible to make some changes and run this from 'My Folders'? Do not want to put it in public folder until I see it works.

    • Dustin Grabowski

Yes, you can copy to another folder (or even unarchive initially to another folder), but you will have to then change all the references on the dashboard to point to the specific views from the analysis in the new folder.

I was wondering if this PPM cross subject area analysis can help me answer question, tell me by contract, how much I have invoiced and how much is remaining to be invoiced? How would I do this?
