Has anyone seen this error in OPM before? I'm not quite sure how to get past it. It happens when I attempt to open the word document that contains my rules (or even an empty word doc). I've not been in OPA/OPM in a while, just FYI. Thank you for any info you can provide!
Try uninstalling Oracle Policy Modeling then run the installation as an admin user. Please post back with the results.
Hey Matt,
Thanks for the reply. I removed all instances of OPM on my PC, then re-downloaded it. I am an admin on my PC, then I ran the install file as an administrator. However, I still get the same error when I try to open a rulebase (word doc).

Note the section related to unable to CAST COM object (related to MS Office PIA missing / corrupted).
If the suggested actions do not resolve your issue, probably best to open a service request / bug report for further investigation (please include Policy Modeling diagnostic details - instructions are in the same topic above).
Hey Matt,
Thanks again for the information! The text relating to the missing PIA is interesting. I'll look into this and see if this helps.

Hey Matt,
I just wanted to follow up with our resolution. We did end up getting our issue fixed. After we removed the Registry entries that were specified in the error message (I think there were 3), we looked into the last option in the document you provided the link to. Doing a Repair on MS Office ended up fixing the issues. I assume it dealt with the missing or corrupt PIA (Primary Interop Assemblies) files. Thank you again for your response!

Just to be clear, the entries we cleared in RegEdit all had this ID - 00020970-0000-0000-C000-000000000046
