    Title:
Budgetary Control impact on Asset and Cash Management transactions.
    Content:

    Hi,

Since we are going to use Budgetary Control feature along with GL scenario in Release13, we wanted to know & test Budgetary Control /Fund Check impact on Asset and Cash Management transactions (while entering the transaction & transferring to GL).

Please share if there is any Oracle KM document.

    Thanks in advance.

Budgetary Control is for controlling spending in the Procure-to-Pay flow, so it impacts requisitions, purchase orders, Payables invoices, GL journals.  There is no impact on fixed assets or cash management transactions.

Here is a summary of documentation available:  Quick Reference for Budgetary Control Documentation

Budgetary control will be applied on the asset cost/clearing account combinations.

While creating the PO or AP invoice you wont be selecting the asset cost account, rather we have to choose the asset clearing account. Hence budgets will be controlled at the asset clearing account level being the account used at the source transaction.

Consider having different clearing account for each asset cost account (asset category).
