    Title:
    Award/Project home organization change
    Summary:
R13-18C can an award/project organization be changed after setup?
    Content:

We have an award/project that was setup with the incorrect home organization. There have been no expenditures charged to the project as of today. I can see that I can change the home org however it that something we should be do? Is it something that can be done only if no expenses have been charged to the award/project?

    Thanks - Kim

Hi Kim, There is no validation/limitation to change the organization at the award level, currently. If there needs to be some restrictions, please provide the requirement details, and best to open a SR/ER.

        Prithi,

So I can change an award/project home organization at any time, even if there have been expenditures applied to the project and this will not affect reporting or other functions "down" stream?

Depends on where you use award organization..do you use it in any accounting rule? Reports should show the changed value, no issue. The expenditure organization (not award organization) is used more for other downstream processing, for example F&A generation.
