    Require Moderator Approval for All Community Posts/Comments?

    Hello,

    I'm curious if it is possible to configure community self service to require moderator approval on all post/comments? I know the out of the box permissions allow moderators to edit, remove, and delete content, but I'm curious if there is configuration that prevents posts/comments from appearing until they have been approved by a moderator.

      Can do.

      Community Comments is available in Object Designer.
      You can create a Status Dropdown under Comments Object.
      Then modify Portal Controllers to show only Approved Comments.

      Thanks for the suggestion Gursimran! I'm trying to understand the workflow for a moderator to then change the comment status to "approved". Would this new menu field be available for them to inline moderate and/or moderate from the moderator dashboard?

      Erm, no. You'll have to modify Portal pages to add this new Approval Checkbox / Menu.

      I'm looking into how this requirement can be achieved. I see that when a moderator suspends a comment or question, the status is set to 'Suspended'. It seems to me the most straight forward way of meeting this requirement is to change the default, on-create status for comments on questions from 'Active' to 'Suspended'. Is there a configuration setting or something straightforward that can be changed to achieve this. Ideally this can be done without code changes.
