    Title:
Related Value Sets in the Accounting Key Flexfield
    Summary:
Adding dependent values in the KFF
    Content:

    Hi,

In the initial release note of the 18C, there was a feature to include Related Value Sets. My understanding is it would have allowed dependent values in the accounting key flexfield.

This has been postponed last minute with the message "Updated document.  The Related Value Sets feature was originally targeted for delivery in 18C, but it is currently postponed to a future release." and I haven't seen it reappear since.

Is the feature completely abandoned or has it been rescheduled/installed discreetly? The documentation still says only independent value sets are supported but the note General Ledger FAQ for Flexfields (Doc ID 399798.1) explains how to have dependent value sets so I'm a bit confused.

Has anyone tried it ? Is it supported or not ?

    Thanks for your insights

Currently only independent value sets are supported for General Ledger.  General availability for Related Value Sets is postponed to a future release.

Thank you Linda, can we have more visibility about the release (20 ? 21?)
Should the note I highlighted (Doc ID 399798.1) be corrected ?
        Thanks

Please note that MOS note (Doc ID 399798.1) is referring to EBS, not Oracle Cloud.  Therefore the contents of the note are accurate for EBS.

We will publish the feature in What's New when it's available.
